In 1949 Israel signed armistice agreements with Egypt (24 February), Lebanon (23 March), Jordan (3 April, at Rhodes) and Syria (20 July) [1]. The lines fixed in those agreements were drawn on the map in green pencil during the talks, and that is where the name comes from: the Green Line [2]. It left about three-quarters of Mandate Palestine inside Israel, Gaza under Egyptian administration and the West Bank under Jordan [1].

It is the line the words occupied since 1967 refer to. We draw it as a pencil, not a border — a drawing's licence, stated here plainly. The line on the back was drawn with no map in the room and checked afterwards against the real armistice lines: it must not resemble them, and it does not. This is the only place the collection uses green, because here the colour is the fact.

The hoodie is shown as a drawing until a printed sample proves that the pale line reads on cloth.
